- Kuda Pinot Noir 2018, Kalfu (Red)
Kalfu Kuda Pinot Noir 2018 is an elegant wine, which emphasizes the typicality of this variety with aromas of black cherry and soft notes of vanilla and spices from ageing in barrel. Medium bodied and delicate, it has a balanced acidity, showing smooth, round tannins that provide elegance. A wonderful fresh and fruity finish with notes of soft vanilla and nuts.
- Blanc de Mer 2018, Bouchard Finlayson (White)
Bouchard Finlayson’s Blanc de Mer offers more than it portrays and its Riesling pedigree boasts lots of strong personality. It is an unusual blend from the Cape where Riesling is virtually unknown as a blending partner. This intriguing blend of Riesling, Viognier, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon offers a fountain of flowery aromas whilst the the taste is characterised by hints of quince, apricot and almonds with a comforting creamy middle and a bold seamless surround. Fresh and vibrant, with a convincing strength and quality finish. A wine for all seasons! Ideally suited to summer salads, salmon, sushi, oysters and white cheese.
- Big Easy Rosé 2018, Ernie Els Wines (Rose)
The light-bodied Ernie Els Big Easy Rosé is pale Salmon in colour, but rich in character and elegant in composure. Produced predominantly from Shiraz, it offers beautiful fragrance, delicate fruit and a savoury edge. Juicy citrus and dried strawberry lines the palate with and a dash of floral notes from the Viognier component making for intriguing and yet uncomplicated drinking. Vibrant, fruity and almost saline, the finish is clean and lip-smackingly fresh. Beautifully dry, delicious and refined, this is classic rose that can be enjoyed with or without food.
- Amayan Malbec 2018, Belhara (Red)
Elements of cassis, black cherry and spicy cinnamon best describes the opulent nose on the Belhara Amayan Malbec 2018 vintage. The palate is composed of black fruit and a supple tannin structure, great minerality with an elegant precise finish and well integrated notes of oak, with hints of dark chocolate and vanilla.
- DMZ Chenin Blanc 2019, DeMorgenzon (White)
Green apple, apricot, peach, hints of honey and floral aromas characterize a fresh and upfront nose on the 2019 DMZ Chenin Blanc . The palate is rich and well integrated with a lingering aftertaste. Another fantastic DeMorgenzon Chenin Blanc from talented winemaker Carl van der Merwe showing incredible weight and texture, yet with great acidity and length.
