The wine multi-case that has everyone is talking about!

It seems our customers share our love of these wines. The 'Lord of the Vines' multi case has proven to be a huge success with our stocks disappearing almost immediately!

We have now re-stocked and look forward to sending out more to customers. The multi-case includes;

*The Boxer, Mollydooker, Shiraz

Arguably Mollydooker’s most recognisable wine and indeed, the most ubiquitous. The 2018 Boxer will win over Shiraz fans with a soft plummy mouthfeel, well measured tannins and rich fruit, creating a wine with many layers. Bursting with an enticing aroma and an intense, elegant flavour spectrum, the Boxer truly is a knockout.

*Maitre d’, Mollydooker, Cabernet Sauvignon

The 2018 Mollydooker Maître D’ Cabernet Sauvignon is a bright and lively wine, awash with notes of cherry, strawberry and blackcurrant, making this wine very approachable and expressive. The rich fruit flavours, coupled with the soft tannins adds to the wine’s complexity. A lingering aftertaste of intense fresh plum and spice finishes this wine off beautifully.

*Frerejean Frères NV Premier Cru Brut (Champagne)

Frerejean Freres founders, Guillaume, Richard and Rodolphe Frerejean-Taittinger, started out making Champagne for friends and family, but word spread, and we went into business in 2005. They take a fresh approach to Champagne.   Their signature wine is a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir aged for a minimum of five years, producing an elegant Champagne that embodies the richness of the Frerejean Frères terroir.   Made using 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir, Frerejean Frères Brut Premier Cru is bright and clear, has scents of nutty brioche with hints of honeyed almonds and baked apple; and tastes of white fruits, crystallised fruit, spices and honey.

*Sumpai, Syrah, Kalfu

Kalfu Sumpai Syrah has great character and personality, revealing herbal notes, such as pennyroyal, lavender and thyme, complemented by soft aromas of violets and wild Chilean maqui and murtilla berries.  Medium bodied, with crisp acidity and great freshness – the round, firm tannins underpin a gentle, elegant background of French oak in which spices intermingle with herbs. Food pairing: Best served at between 15° C – 16° C this wine pairs well with pasta dishes, white meat and cold cuts.

*El Desperado, The Pawn Wine Co. Pinot Noir,

The Pawn Wine Co. El Desperado Pinot Noir has aromas of cherry cola, rose petals and spice that erupt from the glass.  On the palate, the wine reveals a berry fruit explosion of black cherry and cranberry, with touches of balsamic and earth tones.   Food pairing: The dry, savoury long finish indicates that this is a food wine, and one which would pair wonderfully with Peking Duck or a block of dark chocolate and Netflix on a Friday night.

*Jono’s Wave Amatra, Catherine Marshall, Chenin Blanc

The 2016 Amatra Jono’s Wave White has bright, fresh, sweet melon and white peach top notes with fleshy ripe nectarines on the core and crisp green apple acidity that fans out the tail on the finish.  The wine is approachable in its youth with fresh, bright fruit aromatics and may age well for five to eight years under optimal cellar conditions. Primary white peach and fresh apple fruit aromatics may evolve into nutty, spicy baked apple and cardamom notes. A wine with a rich, mid palate, depth and complexity that pairs well with seared salmon, scallops, mussels with saffron; fragrantly spiced white meat and sushi.
